CHICAGO, 02/24/05 — RTI International, the nation's second largest independent research company, and SPSS Inc. (NASDAQ: SPSS), the leading global provider of predictive analytics and survey research software, today announced a strategic alliance that will combine their respective strengths to offer innovative data collection and analysis solutions to government and business.

"The agreement significantly increases our capabilities in the areas of survey data collection and predictive analysis," said Don Camburn, RTI's research vice president for Statistical, Survey, and Computing Sciences. "Through this partnership, RTI researchers and their clients will have access to a much wider range of cutting-edge software solutions for information capture and management."

Initial areas of collaboration will include several large data collection and survey projects in the public sector, K-12 education, and projects in support of law enforcement. In addition to its broad range of predictive analytic software and solutions, Chicago-based SPSS offers a full complement of survey research technologies, from instrument design, sample management, and data collection to real-time analysis.
