ACRE holds 1st Wellness Olympics
The Asia-Pacific Centre for Research, Inc. (ACRE) launched its first
ACRE Wellness Olympics at the Philippine Columbian Association (PCA)
last July 5.
With its aims of wellness, fellowship, and physical fitness, the event
incorporated seven major events – namely, women’s and men’s basketball,
bowling, women’s and men’s badminton, mixed badminton, and mixed
volleyball.
ACRE Olympians formed two teams – the Coeus and the Red Rockets.
After the whole day event, the Coeusians emerged as the over-all
champion, bagging all but two events. Coeus garnered a total of 23 out
of the possible 33 points: 5 points each for women’s and men’s
basketball; 3 points each for men’s and mixed badminton; and 7 points
for mixed volleyball.
Ms. Rain Romero and Mr. Arthur Olivares were named as the Female and
Male Most Valuable Player (MVP) respectively.
